Frank Pollard: artist's statement

My work acts as documentation of interactions with creatures and objects I have encountered in dreams. As an artist, my role is simply to record, catalogue and cross-reference the information I have gathered. My work functions as evidence that may eventually lead to some discovery about the unknown and ominous things I have witnessed. In the dreams that generated the present group of drawings, I was only a voyeur and was not privy to the secret life of these particular objects and figures: the women in the water and the black stones.
