Game Designer Statement
What I most enjoy about game design is the freedom that I get when deciding what I want to work on in the game creation process. Since starting game design in 2021, I've had different roles such as programmer, background artist, and sprite artist. Recently I've been experimenting more with my personal art style and I’ve found that I really enjoy making very detailed pixel art for sprites. I’ve also found a passion for writing the "lore" or the story behind the games I work on; thinking about the possible backstories for characters in any game truly fascinates me. As I head to college and major in computer science, I know that most of the work that I make moving forward will be heavily focused on programming and not so much visual creativity, so I am really enjoying these last few weeks of getting to solely focus on just making art that's fun for me to make.
